Boat hire prices 2025
The hire price covers the cost to charter a boat, regardless of the number of people on board. This price relies on 4 factors: chosen boat type, start date of your cruise, start/end marina, length of your holiday.
The season usually runs from March to October and our price list is divided into 5 pricing periods (from low season at the start and end of the season to very high season during the summer).

One Way Hires
One-way cruises are a great way to see more of the river in your time available as you don’t need to retrace your steps. They are available between Carrick-on-Shannon and Banagher and between Bellanaleck and Carrick-on-Shannon. One-way hires are only available for multiples of full weeks.
Each one-way route takes about a week, so if you have two weeks, you could travel all the way from Bellanaleck on Lough Erne, to Banagher on the Lower Shannon or vice versa. If you want to book a Bellanaleck to Banagher one-way, it is a minimum of 2 weeks but cannot be booked online, so please telephone the office.
Please note that you will be informed of the direction of your one-way cruise 2 weeks before the start date. There is a supplement of €150 to take a one-way cruise.
This does not include any costs associated with moving you or your car back to where you started.
If you are flying into Dublin Airport, there is no extra transfer cost to arrive and depart from a different marina.
Is it possible to hire a boat for a short break?
When hiring with Carrickcraft, your hire will be a minimum of 3 night stay (2 nights available from Bellanaleck). Typically a 5 nights or a 1 week hire will give you plenty of time to cruise the waterways, but if you are stuck for time, we can certainly accommodate short breaks.
Some of our more popular boats can be hired for weekly cruises only, however many are also available for a minimum of 3 nights.
Start days can be Monday to Saturday and we offer 4 nights for the price of 3 if you can start on a Monday.
It is not possible to do a one-way cruise on a short break.
