Take a cruise in a self-drive boat
Carrickcraft offer an extensive fleet of two to ten berth cruisers to anyone looking for boating holidays. We have a choice of 21 different types of boat, all of which are fully fitted with every facility needed to ensure cruising is made easy and enjoyable.
In the boat descriptions, the berths are given as X+Y – the X is fixed berths, the Y is converting the saloon to more berths.
We strongly recommend for maximum enjoyment of your holiday, that you hire a boat with enough berths without using the saloon.

All of our boats come with everything you need to ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay on board. All boats have central heating. They have a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size cooker, including gas hob, oven and grill. An electric fridge is also provided in the kitchen along with tea towels, dish cloths and washing up liquid.
All boats have at least one toilet and shower and the larger boats have 3 bathrooms. Hot water is provided by running the engine for at least 3 hours every day, so you are always guaranteed to have plenty of hot water for showers, cooking and washing up. The bed linen provided includes a sheet, duvet, pillow, blanket and one towel per person. Our staff are always on hand to ensure you have everything you need.
Electric on board
Electric on board
Each boat has a 12v power outlet socket for charging and powering mobile phones and laptops. This is similar to the cigar socket found in cars and you should bring your 12v charger/power source with you. In addition, we will provide a portable inverter to convert the power to 240V, so a standard charger can also be used. Some boats have a built-in inverter and others have a connection for shore power, so that you can use mains electric while moored up. Check the description of each boat to see if it has shore power.
All boats have a radio and CD player and some of the premium boats also have a TV/DVD player. Please note that TV reception is not possible, so it can only be used as a DVD player. We also have a limited number of DVD players available for hire if your boat does not have one.
When you hire a boat from Carrickcraft, you will benefit from the advice of experts who are passionate about boating and who will do their utmost to ensure you have a great holiday.
